Richard Moody: Flying Through Life In-Person
Richard Moody was a fighter pilot with the Royal Navy and the US Navy, 15 years as a Regular officer followed by another 12 years in the Reserve. He was on the staff of Topgun when it was first formed in 1969, flying the F4 Phantom and the A4 Skyhawk. He also spent 6 years flying off aircraft carriers and ended up with 627 deck landings of which 144 were at night, and flew a total of 6 different aircraft in the Navy.
Richard saw the light about death and destruction over 20 years ago and became not only very active with the Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) but also an ardent Quaker in the name of Peace. He's also volunteered in El Salvador, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Peru, South Africa and Greece - mostly teaching and with families, but also in a refugee camp in Greece.
Come hear him tell of his life journey, also documented in his book, Flying through Life - From Fighter Pilot to Peace Activist.
