Rule of Three Reading Group: Metaphor In-Person
Named for the "rule of three" principle in writing and joke-telling, this reading group considers three pieces each month: a short story, a poem, and an essay, all connected by a theme. Join us to be introduced to new authors, new forms, and new ideas. This month's theme is "Metaphor." The story is “The Ceiling” by Kevin Brockmeier; the essay, “All Shook Up: Metaphor and Thought” by James Geary; and the poem, “Long Week Talking” by Natalie Shapero.
