Poetry Circle: Andrea Gibson In-Person
July’s Poetry Circle shines a spotlight on the writing of current Colorado Poet Laureate Andrea Gibson. Their poems — honest and saturated with emotion — explore the beauties and wonders of a hard life that is being lived with gratitude and even joy. Loss, shame, grief, illness, depression, and heartbreak act as springboards for deep dives into introspection, as do spirituality, friendship, unconditional love, and, above all, hope. Poetry Circle friend Bill will lead the discussion.
