Rule of Three Reading Group: Classics In-Person
Named for the "rule of three" principle in writing and joke-telling, this reading group considers three pieces each month: a short story, a poem, and an essay, all connected by a theme. Join us to be introduced to new authors, new forms, and new ideas. This month's theme is "Classics." The story is “Hills Like White Elephants” by Ernest Hemingway; the essay, “Why Read the Classics?” by Italo Calvino; and the poem, “How Do I Love Thee (Sonnet 42)” by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Download a pdf of the readings here. You can also pick up printed copies at the West Windsor reference desk. Registration is recommended.
