Beginner Cryptography

Beginner Cryptography In-Person

Come explore the world of sending and receiving secret messages!  This beginner-friendly class is open to all ages and covers how people sent coded messages from ancient times up through the 1500s. You'll learn how these early ciphers work when the secret key to decoding the message is known, and you'll get a peek at how people try to crack the code when it isn’t.  A basic understanding of arithmetic is recommended.

Registration is required.
