Big STEAMers: Bubble Science Blast In-Person
Join our exciting, 1-hour program for kids ages 6–11! Big STEAMers is a program that focuses on the five areas of STEAM; science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, all geared toward elementary-aged kids. Get ready to experiment, explore, and make some surprising discoveries at the Mercer County Library’s West Windsor Branch. This week's topic: Bubble Science Blast!
Families are invited to a joyful, hands on hour of bubble science perfect for curious kids ages 2-14. Together we'll explore what makes bubbles form, stretch, shimmer and pop through colorful experiments, giant bubble play, and surprising bubble challenges. Children will test different bubble solutions, create bubbles with unexpected tools, and discover the science behind surface tension in a fun, accessible way. We'll wrap up with a crowd-pleasing grand finale: a Mentos soda fountain eruption that shows how gas, bubbles, and rapid reaction can create an unforgettable fizzy explosion.
Sponsored by the Friends of the West Windsor Library.
Registration is required prior to the event. Walk-ins are welcome as long as space and supplies are available. We recommend that you arrive 5 minutes before the program starts.
