Big STEAMers In-Person

Build It, Break It, Explore It!  Calling all curious creators ages 6–11! Join our Big STEAMers Structures & Stories Program, where science and imagination collide. Kids will dive into the fascinating world of structures—from bridges and towers to everyday objects—while discovering what makes them strong, stable, and sometimes… spooky!  Inspired by the beloved book Creepy Carrots, we’ll mix engineering fun with storytelling magic. Build your own “carrot-proof” creations, design clever traps, and learn how structure and function work together in the real world.  Hands-on projects, creative challenges, and a dash of creepy fun—this is science you can build on!  For ages 6-11.  Sponsored by the Friends of the West Windsor Library.

Registration is required prior to the event. Walk-ins are welcome as long as space and supplies are available. We recommend that you arrive 5 minutes before the program starts. If you have not arrived by the start of the program, we may give your spot to someone who is waiting. We may not be able to accommodate late arrivals. Please cancel if you are unable to attend so that your spot may be given to another.  We appreciate your cooperation so we may offer a smoother flow of activities to the entire group.
