Big STEAMers: Dive into Density! In-Person
Join our exciting, 1-hour program for kids ages 6–11! Big STEAMers is a program that focuses on the five areas of STEAM; science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, all geared toward elementary-aged kids. This week's topic: Density!
Get ready to experiment, explore, and make some surprising discoveries at the Mercer County Library’s West Windsor Branch. In this hands‑on science adventure, kids ages 6–11 will uncover the secrets of density—why some things float, others sink, and how liquids can stack like magic. Through playful experiments and eye‑opening challenges, young scientists will test predictions, mix materials, and watch science come to life right before their eyes. It’s curiosity, creativity, and “whoa!” moments all in one session. Sponsored by the Friends of the West Windsor Library.
Registration is required prior to the event. Walk-ins are welcome as long as space and supplies are available. We recommend that you arrive 5 minutes before the program starts. If you have not arrived by the start of the program, we may give your spot to someone who is waiting. We may not be able to accommodate late arrivals. Please cancel if you are unable to attend so that your spot may be given to another. We appreciate your cooperation so we may offer a smoother flow of activities to the entire group.
