Get Lit Book Club: The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang In-Person
When dark-skinned peasant girl, Rin, is able to escape her oppressively bleak life by getting into the most elite military school in Nikan, she discovers that there's more at stake than just surviving in her new school. With war on the horizon, Rin will have to come to terms with her new powers and the cost of winning. Library staff member Emily will lead the discussion.
