Documentary Screening and Discussion: Putin vs. the Press (2023) In-Person
Join us for a 53‑minute screening of the documentary Putin vs. the Press, followed by a discussion led by retired Librarian Susan and Librarian Andrew. The film traces one journalist’s fight to defend free speech in Putin’s Russia. With rare access, it follows Nobel Prize–winner Dmitry Muratov as he struggles to keep his newspaper alive and his reporters safe amid an escalating government crackdown.
