Write Together: Collaborative Book In-Person
Have you ever wanted to write a book... but didn't know where or how to start? Do you want to be published? Have great ideas? Like to draw? Are you around 6-11 years old? Then you should join us in creating a collaborative book for the library! Each week, we will work together to write and illustrate the next chapter of our adventure story about our Magic-Treehouse-inspired characters, two siblings named Leo and Maya. They have been pulled through a magical portal into a different time and place... but where? What happens? It's up to you and the group to decide! As a group, we will review what's happened in the story, think of ideas to continue the plot, and choose the one we would like to use. Then, we will turn over the plot points to AI to write out the chapter while we each draw the illustrations for that chapter. By the end of the summer, we will have a complete, multi-chapter book - written and illustrated by you and friends - that we will add to the library's collection.
This week: Chapter One. The stage has been set... now what should happen to Leo and Maya?
Recommended for ages 6-11. Sponsored by the Friends of the West Windsor Library.
