Join our exciting, 1-hour program for kids ages 6–11!  Big STEAMers is a program that focuses on the five areas of STEAM; science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, all geared toward elementary-aged kids.  Get ready to experiment, explore, and make some surprising discoveries at the Mercer County Library’s West Windsor Branch.  This week's topic: Physics! 

For our Marble-Run Physics Lab, kids will jump into the world of physics as they design, test, and tweak their very own marble maze using our giant marble-run system.  Young builders will explore real science concepts like gravity, force, and motion while experimenting with ramps, curves, drops, and surprising twists.  After plenty of hands-on trial-and-error, each child will create a unique maze masterpiece to run again and again.  It's creative engineering, playful problem-solving, and physics made fun.

Registration is required prior to the event. Walk-ins are welcome as long as space and supplies are available. We recommend that you arrive 5 minutes before the program starts. If you have not arrived by the start of the program, we may give your spot to someone who is waiting. We may not be able to accommodate late arrivals. Please cancel if you are unable to attend so that your spot may be given to another.  We appreciate your cooperation so we may offer a smoother flow of activities to the entire group.
